Code of Conduct

The common pact of the My Inner Journey community. What is welcome, what is not accepted and what happens when boundaries are crossed. The same pact applies to everyone.

Document index

Preamble

This Code of Conduct exists for a specific reason: spaces for personal growth and contemplative practice, around the world, have a long history of abuse.

Sexual predators who hide behind the role of facilitators. Charismatic figures who build dependencies. Network marketing recruiters who use spiritual practice as bait. False therapeutic promises that worsen real discomforts. Vulnerable people used as an audience and as a source of income. We don't want to be another place where these things happen.

This document is neither a formal exercise nor a legal defense. It's apractical pactamong the people who are part of the My Inner Journey community. Establish what is welcome, what is not accepted, and what happens when boundaries are crossed. The same pact applies to everyone: those who participate for the first time, those who organize, those who moderate, those who work at Animundi SL, founders included.

The Code does not solve all problems. But it sets a direction and provides tools to intervene when necessary.

In three lines:The community space belongs to everyone. We seek to ensure that each person, especially the most vulnerable, is safe. When that doesn't happen, we deal with it, transparently and firmly.

1Who does it apply to?

This Code applies to all people who interact with the community in any way:

  • Participants in live meetings (local and national)
  • Discord Server Members
  • Volunteers and organizers of any level
  • Members of the operational teams
  • Staff and collaborators of Animundi SL, including founders
  • Invited external speakers, guests and facilitators
  • Sponsors present at events
  • Anyone who represents the community on external channels (networks, podcasts, interviews)

It applies in any context that is part of the community: public and reserved events; all Discord channels (public and private); official communication channels (newsletter, community networks); and private conversations born within the community (see note in 5.10).

The Code does not extend to contexts that are clearly external and not linked to the community (private life, work, personal networks), except when external behavior poses a direct risk to people in the community (e.g. criminal complaints, documented predatory behavior).

2Fundamental principles

Six principles guide the entire document. When a specific case is not covered by an explicit rule, we ask whether it is consistent with these principles.

2.1 Safety first

The community space must be physically, emotionally and psychologically safe for each person. When behavior puts someone's safety at risk, action is immediate. "Delicacy" towards the person causing the problem never comes before the safety of the person suffering from it.

2.2 Reciprocity and dignity

Each person has the same value. Whoever participates in its first evening has the same dignity as the founder. Role asymmetries (organizer/participant, staff/volunteer) exist, but they do not justify different treatment at the level of respect.

2.3 Pluralism

The community is a space where diverse religious, spiritual and philosophical traditions coexist. None is imposed. No one is ridiculed. Agnostic and atheist people are welcomed in the same way as believers.

2.4 Transparency

Decisions that affect the community are made transparently. Complaints are handled confidentially, but the criteria and processes are public. Conflicts of interest are declared, not hidden.

2.5 Intellectual rigor

The community does not promote pseudoscience, does not offer medical or psychological diagnoses, does not promise cures. The practices are presented for what they are: tools for emotional work and consciousness, not therapies.

2.6 Sustainability for those who contribute

Volunteers are partners, not a free resource. The community has the duty to protect those who contribute: from burnout, from unrealistic expectations, from exploitation.

3Welcome Behaviors

The positive part of the pact. What it means, specifically, to be part of this community:

  • Listen before responding.Especially in the sharing circles and practice channels of Discord.
  • Talk in the first person about your own experience, not about the experience of others.
  • Recognize your own limits. If a situation goes beyond what you can manage, ask for support.
  • Accept disagreement. Not everyone has to agree with you to be welcome.
  • Be punctual and reliable in the commitments made (events, volunteer roles).
  • Ask for forgiveness when you make a mistake. Without dramatizing and without minimizing.
  • Point out problems when you see them, even if it is uncomfortable.
  • Let others pass before speaking again: in circles, in channels, on calls.
  • Respect people's times: those who do not respond right away, those who want to be left alone, those who choose not to share.

4Unaccepted behaviors

This section is detailed. It is because generality ("let's all behave well") does not protect anyone. The following categories cover behaviors that, if confirmed, lead to disciplinary action according to the procedures described below.

4.1 Discrimination and offensive language

Behavior, language, content or "jokes" that attack or ridicule people based on: ethnic or national origin are not accepted; skin color; gender, gender identity or expression; sexual orientation; age; physical, sensory or cognitive disability; mental health; religion or absence of religion; socioeconomic status; native language or accent; physical appearance; health status (including chronic or previous conditions); family or couple situation. This applies to jokes, memes, “ironic” comments, and “provocations” that target these categories.

4.2 Harassment

The following are considered harassment:

  • Unsolicited comments, gestures or images of a sexual nature
  • Non-consensual physical contact (even if it seems "innocuous": caresses, insistent hugs, hands on shoulders)
  • Pursuing a person after they have expressed a desire not to interact
  • Repeated private messages that have not received a response
  • Photos or videos of a person without their consent
  • Comments about how a person is dressed, about their body or their appearance
  • Having a conversation about a topic after it has been asked to change it
  • Bullying, public ridicule, humiliation

An explicit “stop” request is sufficient: no explanation or justification is necessary. If the person asks you to stop, stop.

4.3 Sexual misconduct and abuse of position

Due to the nature of the community – spaces of vulnerability, emotional practice, events with close contact – stricter rules than the legal minimum apply.

Whoever plays organizational, facilitating, moderating or supporting roles within the community has the responsibility of preserving a safe, respectful and pressure-free environment. It is not permitted to take advantage of one's own role, the trust of the participants or the influence derived from the position to obtain personal, emotional, romantic or sexual advantages. Personal relationships between consenting adults are not prohibited, as long as they arise spontaneously, are free from any form of pressure or role dependence, and do not compromise the fairness, safety or climate of the community.

In particular, organizers, facilitators, moderators and staff are prohibited from:

  • Propose private meetings for “spiritual work”, “healing” or “energy reading” to specific participants.
  • Touching a participant without explicit consent, even in the context of body practices (e.g. postural correction in yoga, EFT, assisted breathing techniques).
  • Use the facilitator position to access personal information (numbers, addresses, personal history) for private purposes.
  • Maintain prolonged private conversations about intimate topics with participants, outside of the structured context.

For all community members:

  • Any non-consensual sexual contact, in any form, is prohibited.
  • It is prohibited to pass off behaviors of a sexual or erotic nature as “spiritual work” or “healing.”
  • Romantic and sexual relationships between equal participants, outside of the event, are private matters and do not concern the community, unless one of the parties reports abuse.

A single documented violation in this area leads to permanent exclusion. There are no "second chances" in the face of predatory behavior.

4.4 Therapeutic promises, diagnoses, medical pseudoscience

It is not accepted, in any community context:

  • Promise "cures", "healings" or "resolutions" of medical or psychological pathologies.
  • Advise against conventional medical treatments (drugs, therapies, interventions) to another person.
  • Diagnose conditions in participants, even if informally ("you clearly have a blockage in your chakra...", "you are surely bipolar...").
  • Present pseudosciences as scientific facts: "the memory of water", "frequencies that heal DNA", "emotions are deposited in the liver", "illnesses are caused by unresolved grudges".
  • Sell or promote “miracle” products (healing essential oils, supplements, energy devices).

You can mention your own personal experiences ("since I started practicing, my anxiety has decreased") without presenting them as universal truths. You can cite real scientific research if you are able to provide the source and present it for what it is (a study, not a definitive truth).

4.5 Religious or spiritual proselytism

It is not accepted: to maintain that a specific religious or spiritual tradition is "the true one"; pressuring others to convert, join a group, or participate in rituals; denigrate other traditions or the absence of tradition; recruit for religious, spiritual, sectarian groups or political parties.

Yes, it is accepted: sharing one's own spiritual belonging if it is relevant and non-invasive; cite practices from a tradition explaining where they come from; discuss differences between traditions in an open and non-hierarchical way.

4.6 Commercial exploitation, MLM, unauthorized sale

The community is not a place for sale. Not accepted:

  • Promote one's own paid professional services (even if they are of a similar nature).
  • Distribute business cards, brochures or discount codes to participants.
  • Recruit for network marketing, MLM or pyramid selling (in any form).
  • Sell or propose your own books, courses or sessions during community events.
  • Send commercial private messages to known Discord members through the community.
  • Use participant lists for external marketing purposes.

What is accepted: publishing one's own site or professional profile in the Discord bio (static); respond to those who contact you privately asking for information about your services; adhere to sponsorships of national events according to the formal process.

This rule also applies to Animundi staff and the founder. Community events are not marketing spaces for Flowin: communications about the book, the app and the courses are limited to official channels and scheduled times.

4.7 Breach of confidentiality

What people share within the community stays within the community. Specifically, it is prohibited:

  • Tell external people (even a partner, friends, family) what was shared in a circle or in private channels in a way that is attributable to the person who said it.
  • Posting screenshots of identifiable Discord conversations without consent.
  • Transfer content from private conversations between members to the founder or staff of Animundi (except in the case of protection complaints).
  • Use information known in the community for external purposes (journalism, research, personal networks) without explicit consent.

There is an exception: whoever receives a confidentiality regarding a potential danger for the person or for others (suicidal intentions, ongoing abuse, threats) has the duty not to respect the confidentiality and report it. See Section 11.

4.8 Behaviors that harm other participants

Even outside of the above categories, the following are unacceptable: aggressive behavior, shouting, intimidation; repeated emotional manipulation (“if you really have me as a friend, then…”); construction of dependency dynamics with other participants; trying to delve into other people's traumas in an unsolicited way; physical attacks of any kind.

4.9 Pseudo-guru behaviors and cult of personality

Specific to our context. Not accepted: building personal followers within the community, presenting yourself as a “teacher” or “professor” to other members; ask other participants to “follow” you, “work with you” or “do a process with you” as a personal project; reproduce sectarian dynamics: closed groups around a figure, initiatory secrets, progressive revelations. This rule applies with special attention to organizers and facilitators, but it applies to anyone.

4.10 Misuse of personal information

  • Contacts of participants are not collected for personal or commercial use.
  • No other people's personal data is published (doxxing) in any form.
  • No one is photographed without consent, not even in public spaces in the community.
  • The data managed by the teams (registration lists, etc.) is processed in accordance with the GDPR and deleted within the established deadlines.

5Discord-specific adaptations

The rules of Section 4 apply in full. Below, only the specific adaptations of the digital environment.

5.1 Identity and account

The Discord account must have a recognizable name (the real name is not necessary, but continuity is required). Clearly disposable accounts are eliminated. Profile photo: non-offensive, non-sexual, non-partisan. Only one account per person; multiple accounts are deleted without notice.

5.2 Channels and content

It is published in the thematically correct channel; the repeated off-topic is moderated. No sustained capital letters (≥10 words in a row): it is perceived as shouting. No spam: repeat the same message on several channels, tag massively, post links non-stop. No NSFW content of any kind, on any channel, not even in DMs between members known to the community.

5.3 Private messages (DM)

DMs are a members' personal space; the community does not monitor them. Whoever receives unwanted DMs can block and/or report @modmail. Sending commercial, sales or recruiting DMs is a violation (Section 4.6) even in private, because the contact comes from the community.

5.4 Reactions and aggregate behavior

Repeated aggressive emoji reactions (e.g. 🤡 to a sincere message) are considered “piling-on” and moderated. Mass tagging of members (more than 5 in a message) requires justification.

5.5 Voice channels

Voice channels are for shared practice and conversation. No recordings without the explicit consent of everyone present. Voice sharing circles follow the rules of live circles: absolute confidentiality. Voice summaries are not published in text channels without consent.

5.6 Bots and automations

Only bots approved by the Moderation Team are active on the server. Members cannot add bots.

5.7 External links

Links to external content (articles, videos) are welcome if they are relevant and of quality. Links to: personal selling platforms, MLM, explicitly refuted pseudoscientific content, related groups but closed by invitation are prohibited.

5.8 Frequency of messages from the founder and staff

To avoid the centrality of a single figure: the founder (and the members of Animundi's Core Team) limit their public presence on the channels to the minimum necessary; they do not give “spiritual advice” or “personal readings” to members via Discord; Official announcements are made through #ads, not by DM or on thematic channels.

5.9 Preventive moderation

For new members: Discord account created for at least 7 days; verification upon entry (a simple captcha); mandatory reading of the Code of Conduct before accessing public channels (automatic gate); The first messages are observed more carefully by the moderators (they are not blocked, they are attended to).

5.10 Private conversations born from the community

DMs and small groups that emerge from the community are personal spaces. The Code is enforced in the sense that serious behaviors (harassment, predation, selling) are still under the Code even if they occur in DM. Differences of opinion, personal conflicts or "antipathies" outside public channels are not a matter for the Moderation Team to intervene, unless there is an explicit violation.

6Specific adaptations for live meetings

The rules of Section 4 apply in full. Below, the specifics of the physical events.

6.1 Arrival and registration

You arrive at the indicated time; The start of the evening is punctual. The registration form is signed with consent to data processing and adherence to the Code of Conduct. If it is the first time, the organizer can make a brief mention of what is described here during the opening.

6.2 Physical contact

Light contact practices may occur at events (e.g. partner stretching, group yoga sequences, self-administered EFT, breathing exercises, partner listening exercises). Rules:

  • Explicit consent before any touching, in any form, between participants.
  • "No" and "I'd rather not" are definitive answers; They are not negotiated.
  • The organizer does not touch the participants to "correct" them in the practices (e.g. postural correction in yoga). It is described in words, it is not touched.
  • Exception: medical emergency situations, in which intervention is carried out according to need.

6.3 Clothing and socks

Comfortable clothing is recommended. There is no mandatory dress code. In spaces where you practice barefoot, you take off your shoes but can keep your socks on. There is no comment on how a person is dressed.

6.4 Sharing circles

The circles follow their own rules, read aloud at the beginning of each circle (see Meeting Organizer's Handbook §15):

  • First person, never about the other.
  • No advice, no interpretations.
  • One at a time, in turn.
  • You can pass.
  • Limited time.
  • Absolute confidentiality: what is said never leaves the room.

Violating the confidentiality of a circle is a violation of the Code (Section 4.7).

6.5 Photos and recordings

Default: no photos, no recordings during practices. Occasional photos (montage, posed group photo) require explicit consent collected out loud at the beginning of the event. Anyone who does not want to appear in photos moves away or says so, and their choice is respected without asking for explanations. No live broadcasts on networks of any kind from the events.

6.6 Pause space

In the event rooms, a point or room where you can leave is always indicated. Whoever needs it can leave the practice without explanations.

6.7 After the event

The informal closing moment (the infusion) is part of the event and follows the same rules. In particular: no "individual session" with organizers (it is referred to professional itineraries if necessary); no exchange of business contacts; no unsolicited group photos.

6.8 Multi-day events (national events)

For national events (with a dedicated section in their handbook), additional rules apply: at least two code of conduct referents identified and visible with a badge; complaint procedure communicated to all participants in the opening; room or space reserved to speak privately with a reference; Possibility of speaking with a representative of the gender you prefer.

6.9 Alcohol and substances

Alcohol is not served or psychoactive substances are consumed at community events. Possible separate moments of conviviality (an optional dinner afterwards) may include moderate alcohol, but are not an official part of the event. Participating in practices under the influence of substances (including alcohol) is not accepted.

6.10 Minors

The events are for adults by default. Events for minors are only possible with a dedicated format, specific training for organizers and written parental consent, something that is outside the scope of this Code v1.

7Complaint procedure

What to do if you witness or experience a violation of the Code. Three channels, to choose from according to the context and your comfort.

7.1 Complaint channels

ChannelWhen to use itResponse time
@modmailon DiscordEpisodes that occurred on Discord or online24–48 hours
E-mailconduct@miviajeinterior.orgEpisodes in events, more serious situations, when anonymity is preferred48 working hours
Notification in person to the organizer or conduct referenceDuring an event, even immediatelyImmediate
Direct notice to a member of the Conduct CommitteeWhen other means are not appropriate (e.g. the person to report is an organizer)48 hours

There is also aanonymous reporting channelon this site, to point out any situation without giving your name.

7.2 What to include in the complaint

A useful report contains, where possible: when the episode occurred; where (Discord channel, specific event); who was involved (even if it's just the Discord user); what happened, with the most faithful words possible; who else was present (witnesses); and what you would like from the community in response (even if it's just "I want you to know"). Reports do not have to be “complete” to be taken seriously. If you only have part of these elements, report it anyway: the Committee will do the checking.

7.3 Anonymous complaints

Anonymous complaints are accepted. They can be done through an anonymous form on the community site or by email from an address created ad hoc. Limits: An anonymous report is more difficult to verify and sometimes does not lead to direct action. But it feeds the general picture and, in the face of several converging complaints, it becomes relevant.

7.4 Confidentiality of complaints

The person reporting has the right to confidentiality: their identity is not shared with the person reported, unless the person reporting authorizes it; details are only shared with members of the Conduct Committee and, if necessary, external legal counsel; Complaint notes are kept for 24 months in a confidential file and then destroyed. Exceptions to confidentiality: legal obligations (e.g. reporting serious crimes) and immediate danger to the reporting person or others.

8Conduct Committee

8.1 Composition

The Conduct Committee is made up of 3 permanent people: 1 member of the Community Team; 1 organizer or moderator with at least 12 months of experience; 1 external figure (recommended): psychologist/psychotherapist or protection expert (safeguarding), paid for her consultations. Gender balanced composition when possible.

8.2 Mandate

The Committee is autonomous in its assessments. It does not respond hierarchically to the founder or to Animundi SL in decisions on specific cases. Reports quarterly to the Core Team in an aggregated and anonymous manner. Its members are in office for 12 months, renewable once. After 24 months: mandatory rotation.

8.3 Conflicts of interest

If a member of the Committee is directly involved in a complaint (complainant, defendant, interested party), he or she removes himself from the case. It is replaced by a substitute figure for that specific case. The Committee publishes a brief annual statement of known conflicts of interest.

8.4 Decisions

Decisions are made by consensus of the 3. In case of persistent disagreement: for level 1–2 measures, 2/3 majority; for level 3–4 measures (exclusions), unanimity is required. In their absence, the case is reviewed with an additional external figure.

9Evaluation procedure

Once a complaint is received:

9.1 Reception (within 48 hours)

Confirmation of receipt to the complainant; opening of a reserved (numbered) file; emergency assessment: if there is immediate danger, preventive precautionary suspension within 24 hours.

9.2 Instruction (within 14 days)

Collection of additional information from the complainant (if accepted); eventual contact with witnesses; contact with the person reported, informing them: that a report has been filed; the general background of the same (without necessarily revealing the identity of the person reporting); your right to respond; and the deadlines of the process.

9.3 Rights of the person reported

Whoever is reported has the right to: be informed of the report (except in rare cases where this would put the person reporting or the investigation at risk); have adequate time to respond (at least 7 days); not be judged on the basis of a single unverified complaint; know the motivation for a possible sanction. You do not have the right to: know the identity of the person reporting without their consent; access all Committee communications; directly confront the complainant (especially in cases of harassment).

9.4 Decision (within 30 days from the initial complaint)

The Conduct Committee reaches one of these conclusions:

  • Not confirmed:without sufficient evidence. It is archived. It can be reopened in the event of new complaints.
  • Confirmed, low level measures:warning or reprimand (see 10.1).
  • Confirmed, intermediate measures:temporary suspension (10.2).
  • Confirmed, serious measures:exclusion (see 10.3 and 10.4).
  • Case of criminal relevance:In addition to internal measures, the complainant is invited to proceed legally and is offered support.

9.5 Communication of the decision

To the complainant: communication of the decision and the measures taken (the level, not always the operational details). To the person reported: formal communication, motivation and application deadlines. To the community: no public communication, except in serious cases where security requires reporting (e.g. the exclusion of an organizer, only with a neutral notification of relief).

9.6 Resource

Anyone who receives a level 3 or 4 sanction can request a review within 14 days. The review is entrusted to the 3 members of the Committee plus 1 additional external figure. Only new evidence or procedural errors are reviewed. The review decision is final.

10Sanctions

Four levels, applied proportionally.

Level 1
Warning
That:formal (written) communication that explains the problem and expectations for change.

When:first violation of low severity, behavior manageable with awareness.Duration:without active restriction, but 12 months remain on the record.Examples:rude language on a channel, repeated off-topic, “unsolicited teacher” behavior.

Level 2
Temporary restriction
That:partial muting on Discord (1–30 days), or exclusion from the next event (1 event), or both.

When:recidivism after Level 1, or a single violation of medium severity.Examples:verbal aggression, violation of the confidentiality of a circle (first time), sending commercial DMs.

Level 3
Suspension
That:exclusion from Discord and events for 3–12 months.

When:recidivism after Level 2, or a single high severity violation.Examples:Repeated pseudo-guru behaviors, MLM selling, pseudotherapy, a first time major verbal harassment.

Level 4
Permanent exclusion
That:definitive withdrawal from Discord, prohibition of participating in events and internal communication to the organizers for recognition.

When:very serious violations.Examples:sexual misconduct (including a single case), documented predatory behavior, physical assault, doxxing, recidivism after Level 3, behavior that endangers vulnerable people.

The permanent exclusion for Level 4 is communicated in a confidential manner within the network of organizers, so that the person cannot rejoin with another account or appear at another event.

10.5 Precautionary measures

In case of immediate danger, the Committee can apply within 24 hours: precautionary suspension of the Discord account; prohibition from participating in the imminent event. The precautionary measure is temporary (until the final decision) and does not imply a judgment of guilt.

11When confidentiality is broken

Confidences in the community are protected, but they are not absolute. Confidentiality declines in three situations.

11.1 Danger of death or serious injury

If in a communication (circle, Discord, DM, event) someone expresses specific suicidal intentions, plans for serious self-harm, or intentions of violence towards others, the recipient of that communication has the duty to:

  • Stay in contact with the person.
  • Notify immediately: emergency number (112) if it is imminent; Otherwise, to the Conduct Committee representative within 24 hours.
  • Do not promise complete confidentiality during the conversation.

11.2 Ongoing abuse of minors or vulnerable people

If a complaint concerns ongoing abuse of a minor or a non-self-sufficient person, the Committee is obliged to report it to the competent authorities, in addition to taking internal measures.

11.3 Legal obligations

In case of request from the judicial authority, the Committee's materials are transmitted in accordance with the law. In all these cases: transparency with the complainant before breaking confidentiality, whenever possible.

12Reinstatement after a sanction

Permanent exclusion is permanent. Level 1–3 sanctions provide for the possibility of return.

12.1 After Level 1

No formal process. The person remains in the community with the notice on their record.

12.2 After Level 2

Return conversation with a member of the Community Team: what has been understood, what will be done differently. Not an "exam", but a dialogue.

12.3 After Level 3

More structured reintegration process:

  • Written request to return after the suspension period.
  • 60-minute interview with two members of the Conduct Committee.
  • Trial period (3 months) with limited presence.
  • Verification and final decision of full reinstatement or extension of the suspension.

The approach is restorative, not punitive. There are no public apologies or “penance” before the community. It is asked to have understood, not to repeat and to be available for dialogue if necessary.

12.4 When a permanently excluded person attempts to return

If a Level 4 excluded person attempts to return (new account, event registration): the account is immediately deleted; Registration is cancelled, with direct and firm contact from the organizer (with support from the Committee); There is no obligation to provide explanations to the person, beyond the fact that the decision is still in force.

13Particular cases

13.1 The Code applies to Nando and Animundi staff

It has to be said explicitly, because many codes of conduct in spiritual communities do not do this, and that is one of the reasons they fail. The founder, the collaborators of Animundi SL and anyone with relevant roles are subject to the Code under the same conditions as any other member. Complaints against these figures are managed with the same procedure and by the same Committee. In the event of a complaint against the founder or a member of the Animundi staff: the Conduct Committee must resort to an additional external figure (e.g. lawyer or protection expert); The decision is made with a qualified majority of 4/4 when it comes to suspension or exclusion. This clause is explicit and public. It is not modified without consulting the Committee.

13.2 Conflicts between organizers

If two organizers enter into conflict over operational issues (not conduct): initial mediation by the Community Team; if not resolved, arbitration by a Team Rep; ultimately, the Conduct Committee if the conflict results in behavior that violates the Code.

13.3 When a rape victim leaves the community

A reporting person may ask to leave the community without completing the procedure. In that case: your decision is respected; the file remains open if there is sufficient evidence to proceed ex officio (to protect others); Your personal data is deleted according to your request.

13.4 Sponsors and external collaborators

Sponsors of national events sign an agreement that includes adherence to the Code of Conduct. Violation = exclusion from the event and loss of sponsorship, no refund. Sponsor exclusion list (a priori excluded categories): MLM, “miracle” products, coaches with unsustainable therapeutic promises, figures with documented histories of abuse. Final decision of the Outreach Team, with the vision of the Conduct Committee in doubtful cases.

14Code Limits

This document has limits that it is honest to recognize:

  • It does not replace the law.Crimes remain crimes and must be reported to whoever has jurisdiction. The Code operates in parallel, not in place.
  • It does not guarantee absolute security. No rule guarantees it. It reduces risk and structures the response, but does not prevent all abuse.
  • It depends on people's willingness to report.Without complaints, the Committee cannot act. That is why we invest in making reporting as accessible as possible.
  • It can be instrumentalized.Allegations of bad faith are possible. The procedure provides for instruction time and the right to respond precisely to limit this risk.
  • It evolves over time. What is written here today will be reviewed as we find real cases. Version 2.0 will be better than this.

15Code Update

The Code is reviewed: once a year on a systematic basis by the Conduct Committee and the Community Team; and ad hoc if a specific case shows a significant gap or ambiguity. Significant changes: draft posted to community repository; consultation period (30 days) open to organizers; formal adoption after consultation. Minor changes (clarifications, corrections): published directly with a visible changelog. The version history remains public.

16Adherence to the Code

The following formally adhere to the Code: Discord members (mandatory reading + acceptance upon first entry, automatic gate); participants in the events (acceptance through the registration form); volunteers, organizers and moderators (explicit signature before accessing the role); the Animundi staff (explicit signature at the beginning of the relationship); the sponsors (contractual adhesion clause).

A person who declares that he cannot adhere to some parts of the Code is free to do so: in that case, he cannot access the roles or spaces of the community. There is no judgment, but there is no exception.

Final note. This Code is long. It is because the generality does not protect. It is specific because we want that, when faced with a real case, organizers and the Committee know what to do and do not have to improvise.
