Guide for Sponsors
My Inner Journey · Community
Document index
1What is this document
This guide is designed for people, companies and local realities that want to support the My Inner Journey community.
The document explains in a simple way how sponsorships work: what we offer to sponsors, what we ask for, what realities we seek and how to apply.
We advise you to read it before submitting your application, so that you can understand from the beginning whether your project, your activity or your reality are in line with the values and way of working of the community.
In this phase, the active form of support is the sponsorship of a local meetup. This means supporting monthly meetings organized in a specific city. Therefore, this guide describes the role of the Local Sponsor, that is, a reality that contributes to making your city's meetup more sustainable, stable and welcoming.
2Our principles
Even before the financial contribution, for us the principles that regulate the relationship between the community and sponsors matter.
A sponsor is not simply someone who financially supports a meetup: it is a reality that chooses to accompany a cultural, educational and community project.
For this reason, each collaboration is based on three fundamental principles.
2.1 The community first
Sponsors support the project, but do not guide its content, decisions or direction.
The community always maintains its autonomy: it decides what to propose, what topics to address and how to carry out the meetings.
This protects both the community and the sponsor. The sponsor's name is associated with a credible, independent and careful project, not with a commercial space for sale.
2.2 Selection of sponsors
We do not automatically accept any reality that wants to contribute financially.
Each sponsor is evaluated according to its coherence with the values of the community, with the type of tour we propose and with the cultural context of the meetings.
This selection serves to protect the quality of the environment and guarantees that sponsors find themselves alongside compatible, serious and respectful realities.
We do not want to create spaces where miraculous promises, aggressive communications or unethical models can enter that would risk damaging the trust built with participants.
2.3 Full transparency
Each sponsorship is public and follows clear rules.
There are no hidden agreements, special conditions or reserved deals.
Whoever participates in meetups must always know what realities the meetings support, how they do it and what the limits of their role are.
Transparency protects everyone: the community, the organizers, the participants and the sponsors themselves.
3How support for meetups works
The monthly meetups organized in active cities are free meetings, open to the community and coordinated by volunteers, called City Organizer.
The goal is that each meetup can operate in a simple and sustainable way at a local level. The costs are generally low and mainly refer to:
- a space in which to meet;
- some small useful materials for the activities or practices proposed during the meeting;
- tea, coffee, snacks or nuts to offer to participants during the welcome and networking moments.
The support of a Local Sponsor allows these costs to be covered and makes the city meetup more autonomous and stable over time.
The presence of a sponsor also creates a positive link between the community and the cultural, professional or commercial realities of the territory.
Having a sponsor is not mandatory: a meetup can be born and continue without external financial support. However, especially in this phase of growth, the contribution of a local sponsor represents valuable and highly appreciated help.
4Meetup sponsor
4.1 Annual contribution
The contribution requested from sponsors varies depending on the size of the city and the average participation in the meetings.
For small and medium-sized cities, the indicative contribution is €500–600 per year.
For large cities, the indicative contribution is €1,000–€1,200 per year.
The difference depends on the fact that a meetup with a broader participation offers greater visibility to the sponsor. For example, a meeting with forty participants has a different value compared to one with fifteen participants.
Payment can be made in two ways:
- in a single payment at the beginning of the year;
- in two semiannual sections.
4.2 Duration of sponsorship
The sponsorship lasts for one year.
At the end of the year it can be renewed, subject to prior agreement between the meetup organization and the sponsor.
4.3 Number of sponsors per city
Each city can have a maximum of two active sponsors.
Sponsors should not compete directly with each other. This means that sponsors belonging to different sectors can coexist, for example a bookstore and a yoga center, but not two activities of the same type that compete in the same territory, such as two competing bookstores.
It is not mandatory to have two sponsors in each city. Some cities may have only one sponsor, while others may have none.
The absence of sponsors does not represent a problem and does not prevent the meetup from taking place.
5What the Local Sponsor Gets
Becoming a Local Sponsor means supporting the city's own meetup in a concrete way and receiving, in return, a sober visibility consistent with the spirit of the community.
Sponsorship is not intended as an aggressive advertising space, but as a recognizable, respectful and well-integrated presence in the context of the meetings.
5.1 Visibility during meetings
The Local Sponsor can display its own roll-up during all meetings of the sponsored city.
The roll-up is placed in a lateral position or at the back of the room, visible but non-invasive.
The material must be provided by the sponsor, in a standard format and with a graphic design consistent with the visual lines of the community.
5.2 Opening and closing thanks
During each meeting, the City Organizer thanks the sponsor at the opening and/or closing.
The thank you is brief and sober, with a total indicative duration of 30–60 seconds.
The mention is to acknowledge the support of the sponsor, not to promote specific products, services, offers or commercial initiatives.
5.3 Local digital visibility
The Local Sponsor is listed on the city's dedicated page on the community website, with its own logo.
Additionally, it may be mentioned once a month in publications announcing sponsored city meetings.
Also in this case, communication remains simple and discreet: the objective is to make known who supports the meetup, without transforming the community channels into advertising spaces.
5.4 Materials available to participants
The sponsor can leave a small amount of brochures, brochures or informational materials on a designated table.
The materials are available to interested people, who can take them freely.
The active distribution of materials to participants during the meeting is not planned.
5.5 Participation in meetings
The sponsor can indicate up to two representatives for each meeting, who may participate as guests.
Their presence must be consistent with the climate of the meetup: they participate as people from the community, not for the purposes of direct sales, promotion or customer acquisition.
5.6 Mention in the local newsletter
In cities where a local newsletter is active, the Local Sponsor may receive a monthly mention.
The mention includes the logo and a brief one-line description, in a sober and informative tone.
6What the sponsor does not get
Sponsorship provides visibility and recognition, but does not give the right to control, guide or use the community for direct commercial purposes.
The same rules apply to all sponsors, no exceptions. A higher financial contribution does not allow you to purchase additional privileges or special treatment.
6.1 No intervention during the match
The sponsor does not have the right to intervene from the stage, speak to the audience or include their own presentation in the meetup program.
During the meeting you can be thanked by the City Organizer, but no dedicated promotional moments are planned.
6.2 No access to participant data
Sponsor does not receive data, contacts, emails, phone numbers or other personal information from entrants.
The privacy of the people who participate in the meetings is always protected.
6.3 No use of community channels
Sponsor may not use mailing lists, groups, chats, or other official community channels to send communications of its own.
Possible mentions of the sponsor are made only in the ways provided for in this guide and always in a sober and informative tone.
6.4 No influence on the contents
The sponsor cannot decide, modify or influence the meeting topics, the proposed practices, the guests or the cultural direction of the meetup.
The contents remain the responsibility of the community and its organizers.
6.5 No total exclusivity
Sponsorship does not guarantee absolute exclusivity over the city or the community.
Only the planned sectoral limit remains valid: two sponsors cannot coexist in the same city in direct competition with each other.
6.6 No private communication to participants
The sponsor cannot privately contact the participants taking advantage of the context of the meetup, nor carry out direct sales, personal promotion or customer acquisition activities during the meeting.
Spontaneous and natural conversations between people are, of course, possible, but they must respect the climate of the meetup and the freedom of the participants.
6.7 The meaning of these limits.These boundaries serve to protect trust, autonomy, and the quality of the community. A community can be supported by sponsors, but should not become a space owned or run by sponsors.
7Who are we looking for?
We look for sponsors who are consistent with the mission, values and climate of the Mi Viaje Interior community.
The objective is not simply to accept anyone who wants to contribute financially, but to build collaborations with realities that have a sensitivity similar to the route we propose.
The categories indicated below are generally compatible with the nature of the community. However, the list is neither automatic nor binding: each application is evaluated as a whole.
Belonging to one of these categories does not guarantee acceptance as a sponsor. In the same way, a reality that does not appear on the list can also be taken into consideration, if it is consistent with the principles of the community.
They are usually in line with our project:
- independent bookstores, especially if they are also dedicated to personal growth, philosophy, spirituality, psychology or well-being;
- editorials and editorial projects linked to psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, well-being, spirituality, consciousness and human development;
- schools, associations and professionals dedicated to meditation, yoga, breathing, mindfulness, conscious movement or related practices;
- centers and spaces dedicated to well-being, personal care and complementary practices;
- cultural spaces, libraries, civic centers, cultural cafes and places that encourage encounters, dialogue and personal growth;
- apps, platforms and digital services consistent with the values of the community;
- companies and organizations committed to sustainability, well-being, social responsibility and conscious lifestyles;
- foundations, cultural associations, non-profit entities and social projects related to our mission.
In general, we look for serious, respectful realities aimed at creating value for people and the territory.
8Who cannot be a sponsor
To protect the community, participants and the quality of the project, some categories cannot be accepted as sponsors.
In these cases, a case-by-case evaluation is not foreseen: these are clear exclusions, based on ethical, cultural and protection of trust reasons.
The My Inner Journey community does not accept sponsorships from:
- activities, companies or organizations based on Multi-Level Marketing models, aggressive affiliation or continuous recruitment of new sellers, collaborators or managers;
- figures, companies or organizations with a documented history of abuses of power, economic, psychological or relational;
- movements, groups or organizations that use sponsorship as a recruitment tool, ideological conversion or pressure on participants;
- sectors that the community decides not to support for ethical reasons, including tobacco, gambling, weapons and fossil energy when sponsorship has promotional purposes;
- companies, professionals or organizations involved in documented cases of fraud, unfair practices or misleading advertising.
These exclusions serve to protect a space based on trust, personal freedom, respect and conscience.
Financial support is important, but it can never come before the integrity of the community.
9If you work in wellness or food
Realities that work in the field of well-being, complementary practices or nutrition can be compatible with the My Inner Journey community, as long as they communicate responsibly, clearly and respectfully with people's autonomy.
For example, practices such as Reiki, naturopathy, family constellations, holistic disciplines, body awareness journeys, food or nutritional approaches or products related to well-being fall into this area.
These areas are welcome when presented with balance, without excessive promises and without creating confusion between complementary practices, personal growth journeys and medical treatments.
For this reason, whoever works in these sectors signs, along with the sponsorship agreement, a specific good practices clause.
In particular, the sponsor undertakes to respect these rules:
- not make claims of cure or healing of pathologies;
- not propose one's own practices, products or services as substitutes for medical, psychological or health treatments;
- not formulating clinical diagnoses to participants;
- do not promise miraculous results, guaranteed transformations or certain benefits for everyone;
- clearly state one's own qualifications, one's training and the actual scope of one's competencies;
- indicate in the distributed materials that the practices, products or services are complementary in nature and do not substitute the opinion of qualified health professionals.
These rules do not prevent the sponsor from honestly counting the value of his own activity.
They serve, instead, to guarantee that each communication is consistent with the values of the community: respect, responsibility, transparency and freedom of choice of the participants.
10Transparency: who supports the community
The Mi Viaje Interior community is also supported by Flowin, the personal growth app linked to the Mi Viaje Interior publishing project and Animundi SL.
Flowin contributes structurally to the growth of the community, providing infrastructure, digital tools and operational support.
This support is declared publicly and transparently, so that each participant knows clearly who contributes to the operation of the project.
In exchange for his support, Flowin receives public recognition consistent with his role. This carries no special privileges or additional powers.
Flowin has no control over the governance of the community, does not decide the contents of the meetings and does not have access to the personal data of the participants.
Also for Flowin, the same principles apply to any other sponsor: transparency, respect for the autonomy of the community and absence of influence on the content, on organizational decisions and on the relationship with the participants.
11How to apply
To apply as a Local Sponsor it is necessary to fill out the form available in the Sponsorship section of the community website.
In the form we ask only for essential information for a first evaluation:
- who you are;
- how can we contact you;
- your website or main social channel;
- the sector in which you work;
- the city you would like to support;
- a brief motivation on why you want to become a sponsor.
In this first phase it is not necessary to send additional documents, presentations or materials.
If the application is in line with the values and needs of the community, we will contact you to deepen and, if necessary, we will request the corresponding information or complementary documentation.
Evaluation deadlines
After sending the application, the process follows these indicative steps:
- confirmation of receipt within 48 hours;
- pre-evaluation of the candidacy within a period of 7 days;
- final decision within 21 days;
- In case of positive result, signing of the agreement and start of collaboration.
Sending the application does not automatically imply acceptance as a sponsor. Each application is carefully evaluated to ensure consistency between the sponsor, the city involved, and community principles.
A community that manages its patrons well is a community that protects its own culture. If you recognize yourself in this way of understanding support, we will be happy to meet you.
